For me, the creative life has always been one of exploration and adventure. As the daughter of an air force navigator, I grew up a traveler. To this day I am intrigued by stories and motifs that transcend time, culture, and geography. I try to be open to the imagery and forms that flow from these sources of inspiration.

A little bit about me...

I am have been involved in the creative arts most of my life.

I was fortunate to attend a high school that offered a generous curricula in the arts, where I focused on creative writing, drawing & painting, and ceramic arts. Later in college, I majored in Studio Arts with a major in Painting and a minor in Ceramic Art. I also studied Art History and Archaeology. Not really having a good focus on what I wanted to do with my life, I did all the afore-mentioned during my first 4 years of college at the University of Missouri at Columbia, and at Boston University, then when I relocated to Rochester NY, I entered the Rochester Institute of Technology and completed another 3 years with a BFA in Industrial Design. I followed this some years later, with graduate work and certification in Interactive Multimedia Development.

Never one to be pinned down for very long (I blame my air force upbringing for giving me "itchy feet"), over the years I pursued a variety of creative careers, including architectural design, painting and illustration, art direction, mixed media art, interaction design, and my current passions: ceramic art and jewelry design.
